Treasure Your Time with Your Habibi Bear Pup

By now you are familiar with how we are constantly looking to level up so that you and your Habibi Bear puppy can have the deepest, most satisfying, life changing type of relationship possible. We love finding different ways to bring our Habibi Bear Tribe members and their pups closer together in easy, practical everyday types of ways.

One of the best and simplest ways to deepen your bond between your Habibi Bear puppy and you is to see your Habibi Bear puppy for who they are. If we consider it honestly, isn’t that the main reason that people are drawn to dogs in the first place? In general, we love dogs because dogs have that special capability and talent of accepting us for whoever we are, no matter what stage we are in life. Unlike our family, partners, friends or co-workers, dogs see us and love us through good times and bad, through thick and thin, in sickness and in health. You know by your Habibi Bear dog’s reaction and mannerisms how much they love you! And you know that that love is always there for you whenever you need it.

Dogs are pure love, and they deserve to have that special consideration go both ways, which means acceptance and appreciation for them and seeing them for their own unique and special qualities and characteristics. All dogs are special of course, but what sets our Habibi Bear breed dog apart from the rest is how we hand raise each of our pups with the goal of cultivating emotional attunement to humans. When we choose parents for litters, we select for the most intuitive and human focused traits, instead of fur color or coat texture. In short, we select for heart, so that each one of our little Habibi bear guys or gals that makes their way out into the world is like a little ambassador of love, bringing joy and sunshine wherever they go.

If this sounds a little too good to be true, let’s take a step back and refresh how we can stay in that vibe of appreciating and seeing our dog for who they are, no matter what stage of life they’re in, anywhere from a mouthy pup chewing on everything in their path, to a rebellious teen dog, challenging you to lots of creative solutions, to an older, sedate dog who is set in their ways and wants to walk to the beat of their own drum.

Remember all things pass and stages end.

That little puppy who is using the corner of your chair as a teething tool is soon going to roll pell-mell into another phase of their physical and mental development, and as their brain finishes developing, what will remain of that trying time is how you reacted and handled the challenge. If you’ve scolded a bit too much, you may have a relationship to strengthen.

Try to enjoy the journey.

All too soon, your Habibi Bear puppy will be doing silly, funny things and it will be difficult to remember them as the cuddly baby dogs that they were when you first brought them home. That sweet smelling puppy breath, that round little tummy will be a thing of the past very quickly, so stop and enjoy watching your Habibi Bear puppy see the world through fresh eyes. Be the person who helps your puppy discover that the world is a fascinating place full of fun and wonder. Just as every stage has its challenges, it also has its joys too.

Meet them where they’re at.

Remember, our time with our dogs is fleeting, and we need to stop and smell the roses with our Habibi Bear puppies while we can at whatever stage of life they are in. Let’s return the favor and accept our dogs where they are at. Be with your dog! Sit with your Habibi Bear puppy and drink your coffee while they enjoy a chew. Listen to dog calming music while you scroll on your phone if necessary. Know what your dog’s favorite toy or treat is, and make a special time of it. Read up on dog body language so you can correctly read your Habibi Bear guy or gal and not mistake anxiety for happiness. Hand feed your dog from time to time, and when it’s appropriate, sit with your dog on the couch. Enjoy your dog! Play with your active dog, or meditate with your quiet, contemplative dog. Keep things calm for your aging dog. These are phases, phases that will pass all too quickly, and when that time comes, as it always will, there is not one of you who wouldn’t give extra money to spend one more day with your dog.
